Vegan Coconut Milk Chocolate
This delicious treat was created for all you dairy-free peeps who like things on the smoother and sweeter side. It has all the flavour and splendor of a milk chocolate bar without dairy or refined sugar. This bar offers a balanced blend of cacao, coconut milk, coconut sugar with lucuma and a touch of carob.
Salted Maca Crunch
One of our first recipes and a bestseller! We combine our 65% dark chocolate with maca, cacao nibs, lucuma, carob and a touch of salt to create a well-rounded, nutrient-rich chocolate bar. It’s packed full of maca which is a hormone-balancing, blood-circulating magic potion that will make you feel ready for anything life throws your way.
Vanilla Chai with Reishi
We love medicinal mushrooms here at Viva Cacao and that’s why this chocolate bar is passionately blended with Reishi mushroom. Reishi mushroom has been used for centuries in China and is renowned for its longevity properties and the ability to increase vitality. We combine our dairy-free coconut milk chocolate with Chamela Giri’s freshly ground chai spices and real vanilla bean to create a flavour that is truly unique.
Deep in the wilderness of southeastern British Columbia, Viva cacao is passionate about making and celebrating heart-opening, nutritious and delicious chocolate.
Beth Campbell, the founder of Viva Cacao, combines her love of alchemy, medicinal ingredients and flavour combinations to bring you chocolate that’s real.
Beth found a way to accelerate the benefits of cacao using superfoods. She sees cacao as the ultimate delivery vehicle of medicinal substances into the body and she celebrates it.
Not only is she empowering people to make healthier chocolate choices at the till, Beth is determined to bring awareness to the issues involved in the chocolate industry, including slavery and inadequate working conditions for cacao farmers.
Her goal is to use the abundance she has been blessed with to make a difference in the chocolate industry and the farmers and consumers connected to it.
Viva Cacao chocolate is packed full of antioxidants, magnesium, iron and calcium to provide a healthier chocolate alternative.
It’s all about what’s inside.
Viva Cacao is all about using superfoods and herbal alchemy.
Cacao was referred to by the Aztecs and Mayans as Yollotl Eztli (heart blood) for its sensual love vibration. Whew! Is it getting hot in here?! Speaking of getting in the mood, cacao is an anti-depressant and a natural mood elevator due to theobromine and caffeine – compounds that influence our moods and energy levels. It’s also a great source of serotonin and other happy chemicals such as tryptophan, tyrosine and phenylethylamine. The cacao bean not only opens your heart — it’s full of magnesium, iron, calcium, antioxidants, carbohydrates and heart-healthy fat and fibre.
Our chocolate bars are filled with superfoods like maca, lucuma, camu camu, carob and reishi (a medicinal mushroom). These special foods are nutrient-dense and contain high quantities of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and have many health-boosting effects. These superfoods also act as an amazing vehicle for your body to access and absorb all of the beautiful goodness chocolate has to offer.
We only use the most sustainable sugar on the planet in all of our chocolate bars…say hello to our good friend, coconut sugar! It’s low-fructose, nutrient-rich content gives it a serious edge over other sweeteners because it’s not refined or chemically-altered. It’s straight-up natural sap that is tapped from the coconut tree’s flower buds. It’s low on the glycemic index and abundant in 17 amino acids, B vitamins, vitamin C, FOS (promotes digestive health), potassium as well as other minerals.
